Frequently Asked Questions
What superalloy grades does RAS Thermal manufacture?
37 grades, spread across the Inconel, Hastelloy, Monel, Nimonic, Waspaloy, cobalt and precision alloy families. You can get them as forgings, wire and spring wire, flanges and related specialty forms.
What is the maximum service temperature of Inconel 718?
650 °C for Inconel 718, age-hardenable to 38 HRC under AMS 5662 / AMS 5663 and ASTM B637. Need more headroom? Inconel 625 runs to 980 °C and Hastelloy X to 1100 °C.
Which superalloys weld without post-weld heat treatment?
Hastelloy C-276 welds well without post-weld heat treatment, and 625 is known for it too. Precipitation-hardened grades such as Inconel 718 need controlled procedures instead.
Which standards do your superalloy products comply with?
Per-grade ASTM designations (B637, B443, B575, B164, B160), AMS specifications and GB/T 14986. Certificates come as EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 mill certificates, sour service adds NACE MR0175 qualification, all inside an ISO 9001 quality system.
What product forms can you supply?
Forged rings, discs and shafts, bar and rod, plate and sheet, strip, pipe and tube, wire and spring wire, plus flanges. The full 37-grade portfolio serves aerospace, oil & gas, nuclear, petrochemical, medical and marine duty.
